THE PO DELTA, A HEAVEN OF THOUSAND FLAVORS

THE PO DELTA, A HEAVEN OF THOUSAND FLAVORS

The Po river is the biggest of the Italian rivers, 650 kilometers long from the Monviso mountain till the Adriatic sea.

Where the river meets the sea, there is a beautiful area called the Po Delta, made of lagoons, waterways and forests, where animals and cultivations mix together creating a unique and special biosphere, a paradise to nature lovers and birdwatchers.

You can enjoy the area following the different naturalistic itineraries even by bicycle, quietly, or discover more about culture, traditions and history for instance at the Museum Delta Antico in Comacchio. Here you find more than 2.000 archaeological remains telling you the story of the Po Delta, from the Prehistoric Times to the Middle Age.
