WINE & DESIGN IN ALTO ADIGE

WINE & DESIGN IN ALTO ADIGE

A modern way to reinterpret the wine tradition of Alto Adige region.

The first wine companies south of Bolzano, date back to 1500 and 1600.  Wine cellars included in amazing country residences build in renaissance style with big porticos, and starcases.

Along the Alto Adige Wine Route you see many of them, as part of the landscape panorama. But next to them you find modern and contemporary buildings able to represent the soul of the place with the new design.

Cement, glass, wood, metal are the elements used to host local wines and fascinate visitors.

Good examples are for instance Cantina Tramir and Casa Scarpa as well as the Manincor Winery and the Winecenter in Caldaro.

For those who prefer an holistic approach there is the winery Alois Lageder designed by Abram & Schnabl studio only with sustainable materials.
