TURIN, A DEEP AND ENIGMATIC CITY

TURIN, A DEEP AND ENIGMATIC CITY

Deep and enigmatic, this is what  the artist Giorgio De Chirico used to say to describe Turin, where he lived and worked for a while.

The big squares, the porticoes and the columns of the city are often represented in the work of the metaphysical painter.

The city center is elegant and preserves elements of different times.

A visit to Turin starts from the famous Piazza Castello, includes the religious buildings of the Basilica di Superga and the Duomo with the precious Holy Shroud and the interesting Mole Antonelliana with the National Cinema Museum.

Every Winter Turin hosts a special light festival called Luci d’Artista.

It is a real outdoor art exhibiton with temporary and permanent light works of art of contemporary Italian and foreign artists, enriched by an interesting programme of side events.
