GRADARA, A PLACE WHERE TIME HAS STOPPED

GRADARA, A PLACE WHERE TIME HAS STOPPED

On the hills of the Marche region, not too far from the seaside of the riviera romagnola-marchigiana, Gradara has a magical atmosphere where time seems to have stopped.

The village lives together with its castle, a powerful fortress built in 1150 for the Malatesta family. It is famous for the legendary love of Paolo and Francesca, celebrated by Dante in the Divina Commedia.

A stroll through the narrow streets paved with cobblestones, flowered balconies and typical craftshops will delight you and will offer you the possibility to taste local food such as mushrooms, cheese, Carpegna ham, salami from Montefeltro and of course the famous local wines Rosso dei Colli Pesaresi,  Vernaccia, Visner di Pergola or Bianchello del Metauro.
